Perfect Passive Participles
- Amicum proba, probatum ama. Test your friend; love him who passes the test.
- Annuit coeptis. He favors our undertakings (lit., favors the things having been begun). Vergil, Aeneid
- Laesa saepius repugnat ovis. Very often a sheep, when wounded, fights back.
- Musca cenat non vocata. A fly dines without being invited.
- Virtus laudata crescit. Goodness increases when praised.
- Vox audita perit, littera scripta manet. A word that is heard perishes; a letter that is written remains.
